Why it's laid out like that
The lines follow how the job was actually priced: a price per square of roofing, tear-off and disposal, decking repairs at a stated unit rate, and flashing and accessories itemized. Each part is separately checkable, which is the whole point — a customer who can verify the bill pays it.
A deposit for materials at scheduling, the balance on completion and final cleanup. Insurance jobs bill against ACV and RCV releases, so track both.

- Mirror the adjuster's scope line for line, quote the claim number, and bill ACV and depreciation release separately.
- Should decking be an allowance?
- Yes — a stated rate per sheet and an estimated count, then invoice what you actually replaced with photos.
- Do I need to show the warranty?
- Show both: the manufacturer's material warranty and your own workmanship period. It is the main thing homeowners compare.
